Our shop, established in 1810, has been located in the Galerie de la Reine since 1847.
In 1951 Irène Mallit, who had been an employee of the shop for several years, took charge of the business and created the Manufacture Belge de Dentelles SA.
In the beginning of the 1960s, her daughter Miriam together with her
husband Henri Everaerts took it over from her. They expanded the range
of the shop’s activities by introducing new items and creating workshops intended exclusively for the production of artisanal lace of the highest quality.
Today these workshops make it possible for us to offer our clientele
top quality handmade lace in the purest Belgian tradition.
In the early 1990s, their sons Arnaud and Serge joined the Manufacture
Belge de Dentelles company with the intention of perpetuating the
tradition and the spirit of this family enterprise. They assist their
parents in running the workshops as well as in the activities of the
shop and of the wholesale business.
Thanks to its sound family roots and rigorous commercial policies, the
Manufacture Belge de Dentelles is able to offer its clients a range of
high-quality lace, along with professional information and personalised
advice.
